At Elipsa Laser, I am passionate about providing personalised and effective treatments to my clients. With a dedicated focus on creating bespoke treatments for each individual, my goal is to ensure the best possible results for you.

First, let's talk about the laser used in this treatment – the Diode Laser. This advanced technology is at the forefront of laser hair removal. The Diode Laser specifically targets hair follicles, making it highly effective in achieving long-lasting hair reduction. Its precision and accuracy ensure that only the hair follicles are targeted while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed.

What exactly is laser hair removal?
It is a safe and reliable method of removing unwanted hair from various areas of the body. By directing the laser energy towards the hair follicles, the treatment destroys them, preventing future hair growth. Laser hair removal is suitable for both men and women and can be performed on different skin types.

How laser hair removal work?
The laser emits a specific wavelength of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. This absorption generates heat, which damages the follicles and inhibits hair growth. The process is precise and targeted, ensuring that only the hair follicles are affected while the surrounding skin remains untouched.

What are the benefits of laser hair removal?
It offers long-lasting results compared to traditional hair removal methods like shaving or waxing. With each session, hair growth is significantly reduced, leading to smoother and hair-free skin over time. Laser hair removal is also a time-saving solution, eliminating the need for frequent maintenance and daily hair removal routines.

What is the laser used in the treatment?
The Diode Laser is the primary laser used, known for its effectiveness in targeting hair follicles and achieving long-lasting hair reduction.

How does the laser work?
The laser emits a specific wavelength of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles. This absorption heats up the follicles, damaging them and inhibiting future hair growth.

Why is the Diode laser better than the rest?
The Diode Laser stands out due to its precision, accuracy, and ability to target hair follicles while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. Its advanced technology ensures effective and long-lasting results.

How often will treatment be needed?
The number of sessions required varies depending on individual factors such as hair type, skin colour, and the treatment area. During your free consultation, I will assess your specific needs and provide a personalised treatment plan, including the recommended number of sessions.

Will the laser hurt?
While individual experiences may vary, many clients describe the sensation as a mild discomfort, often compared to a rubber band snapping against the skin. The Diode Laser used in our treatments incorporates advanced cooling technology to ensure your comfort throughout the process.

Which skin colors can be treated?
The Diode Laser is designed to target the pigment in the hair follicles, rather than the surrounding skin. This makes it suitable for a wide range of skin tones, including darker skin.

How do I prepare for hair removal?
As the hair shaft is the treatment target, it is important to stop all waxing, sugaring or plucking, or using hair minimizing deodorants for approximately eight weeks prior to your laser treatment. Removing the hair shafts prior to treatment means there will be no target for the laser. Treatment area needs to be shaved before appointment.

How soon do I expect to see results? How do I know it is working for me?
You will see results starting with your very first session. The hair growth will be less and the hairs finer and weaker, your skin will become smoother and the hair pores on your skin will become less visible after each session. The results will become more impressive with each following session.

I have ingrown hair on my face, legs, bikini area and back. Will laser help?
Absolutely. Even after one treatment you will notice that most of your ingrown will be terminated. Within few weeks, the area will be smooth and the color of your skin will return to your original skin color.

How do I know when to have my next treatment ?
The first 3-4 treatments should be within specific intervals (4-6 weeks depending on what area it is) because to catch the majority of hair in its growth cycle and kill it. After you lose more than half your hair, it is wiser to go by observation of new hair growth, when you start to see new stubble (new hair growth), you can make an appointment within two weeks and this time frame will vary from person to person as well as from area to area.

Is shaving as effective as laser hair removal?
Traditional methods of hair removal only remove the part of a hair shaft that grows above skin. For complete removal of hair, laser treatment is best. Despite urban legends, shaving does not make hair grow back in faster, darker or thicker.

What do I need to do afterwards?
After your laser hair removal session, it's important to protect your treated skin from excessive sun exposure and to follow any post-treatment care instructions provided. Moisturising the treated area and avoiding harsh chemicals or exfoliation for a few days is also recommended.

Will I need time off work?
There is usually no downtime required after laser hair removal, allowing you to resume your daily activities immediately. However, it's important to note that some individuals may experience mild redness or sensitivity in the treated area, which typically subsides within a few hours.

How long does the treatment or result last?
Laser hair removal provides long-lasting results, but individual experiences may vary. The duration of the treatment and its results depend on various factors, including hair type, skin tone, and your body's natural hair growth cycle. During your consultation, I will provide you with a personalised estimate of the treatment duration and discuss your expected results.

I hope this comprehensive information has provided you with a better understanding of laser hair removal and the benefits it offers.
